Almond Milk

About the Recipe

Because making your own plant based milk is really this easy.

**You can also make other plant-based milks! Just soak your chosen nuts or seeds for at least 7 hours before blending.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw almonds

  • 4 cups filtered water

  • You’ll also need a Nut Milk Bag

Preparation

Step 1

Soak the almonds for at least 8 hours in plenty of filtered water. Drain and rinse well.


Step 2

Add the almonds with 4 cups of filtered water to a high speed blender. Blend on high speed for about 2 minutes or until creamy and smooth.


Step 3

Place the nut bag in a large bowl. Strain the mixture through a nut milk bag over a large bowl. Gently squeeze and massage the bag until all the liquid has been extracted and only the dry almond pulp remains inside.


Step 4

Store the almond milk in an airtight glass bottle or jar in the fridge for up to 4–5 days. Shake well before using, as it naturally separates.
