About the Recipe
Have you ever tried sweet potato steaks? If not, you're in for a treat!
This recipe is proof that whole foods can taste absolutely incredible with the right seasoning. Packed with flavour—this is one you don’t want to miss out on!

Ingredients
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp ground coriander
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp celtic salt
500g gold sweet potatoes
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
200g can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
150g baby cucumbers, cut into thin wedges
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
100g baby tomatoes, halved
1 tbsp cup lemon juice
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 cup coconut yoghurt
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200ºC. Line a baking tray with a silicon sheet.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, paprika, coriander, and cayenne pepper.
Step 3
Cut the sweet potatoes lengthwise into 1.5 cm thick slices and brush both sides with some extra virgin olive oil. Sprinkle spice mixture onto the sweet potatoes. Place the seasoned sweet potatoes on the lined baking tray.
Step 4
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and tender.
Step 5
Combine the chickpeas, cucumber, onion, and tomato in a medium bowl.
Step 6
Whisk the lemon juice, maple syrup and remaining oil in a small bowl.
Step 7
Divide the yoghurt between the two serving plates. Top with sweet potato steaks, salad mixture and top with the lemon juice mixture.
